We currently farm 650 acres of land - 250 acres of potatoes, 150 of which is rented land, 250 acres of barley and 150 acres of wheat. The remainder of the land is rented out and is used to grow broccoli, cauliflower and soft fruit, primarily strawberries and raspberries.

As farmers, it is our responsibility to look after the countryside as best we can and to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Our east coast location is ideal for arable farming but is also a great spot for harnessing wind power. As a result, in March 2014 we erected a C&F 100kw wind turbine.
The wind turbine not only helps us to protect the environment but it also allows us to keep our costs to a minimum which is essential in our efforts to operate our business as efficiently as possible.
BARLEY & WHEAT
Our spring barley is grown for the malting market and is turned into whisky. The wheat crop is grown for our customers for a variety of uses.
Our agronomists advise us on how to maximise the quality and yield of our barley and wheat crops.
RF Logan & Co is a member of the Red Tractor Scheme. Red Tractor is a food assurance scheme which covers production standards developed by experts on safety, hygiene, animal welfare and the environment.
POTATOES
We grow both seed and ware potatoes. Our seed is grown under the Safe Haven Certification scheme. The SHC scheme comprises scientifically robust protocols that ensure best practice for seed growing and handling. We are audited annually to ensure compliance.
The seed is grown using our own expertise and also with advice from our agronomists. It is then shipped to our customers around the world.
Our ware potatoes are grown with the same rigorous guidelines as the seed potatoes. We grow several varieties including maris piper, osprey, hermes and rooster potatoes that are sold to supermarkets in the UK.
